Discover Vodice: Beach, Old Town and Excursion Destinations

Welcome to Croatia! Vodice is located directly on the Adriatic, on the Dalmatian coast between Zadar and Split. The town remains easy to explore: a marina, narrow old-town lanes, a long promenade – and the sea right in front of it.

Beaches

Vodice has two very different beaches, both public and free of charge. Plava is the long, quieter stretch towards Tribunj – ideal for swimming and walking. Hangar is east of town near the Olympia hotels and livelier, with water sports, a slide and bars.

Vodice Old Town

The Old Town, with its narrow streets, restaurants and cafés, is ideal for an evening stroll.

Šibenik

The town of Šibenik is about 12 km away and, with its winding old town, is a lovely destination for a day trip. Šibenik is the only town in Croatia with two entries on the UNESCO World Heritage List: the Cathedral of St. James and the Fortress of St. Nicholas. 

Krka National Park

Krka National Park is a popular day-trip destination in the region and can be reached from Vodice within an hour. Discover the beauty of its seven magnificent waterfalls. Krka National Park is one of Croatia’s most beautiful gems.

Kornati Islands

The Kornati Islands are ideal for boat trips through the island world off the Dalmatian coast. The Kornati National Park archipelago comprises a total of 89 islands and reefs.

 The sunny weather lasts throughout the summer. The sea remains warm into autumn.

Travel period

 Four seasons, four completely different experiences. Those who come in summer will find numerous events, water suitable for swimming, and excursions to the Kornati Islands and Krka National Park. In spring, the hiking trails and cycling routes are almost all yours. And in December, Vodice celebrates its Christmas market in the park – small, with live music and without the hustle and bustle of peak season. There is hardly a bad time to visit.
